Hello and welcome to the forum. Thank you for your question. This sounds frustrating. This is a different doctor that is unsure what PVT is and if you have this? Perhaps you can request your medical record from the original doctor who diagnosed you with this to be sent to your new doctor or even return to the original doctor. PVT in general could stand for Paroxysmal Ventricular Tachycardia. They often call it PVST for superventricular. https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/000183.htm Could this be the condition you were diagnosed with and are these your symptoms? There are most certainly things they can do to treat this. If this is disruptive to your life, I would think that finding a doctor that understands the condition and can treat you for it would be important.
Ventricular tachycardia is an abnormal condition in which the ventricles of the heart beat abnormally fast. This rapid heartbeat is stimulated by electrical signals that arise from within specialized cardiac cells within the ventricles themselves, or it may be caused by electrical signals that do not follow the normal conduction system and stimulate more than one contraction. For some people, they will go the route of no treatment if the condition is mild. That can be determined between you and your doctor. Medication, ablation and pace maker are some of the treatment methods if it is necessary.

But the first step is having a doctor listen to you and reconfirm diagnosis. Let us know how this transpires.
