Rabies

So I live in Jamaica we never had a case of rabies or to my knowledge have rabies but my dog scratch’s and bites a lot he’s  2 yrs old . I have very bad health anxiety so when I saw an article I went into panic mode and now i even think I have my symptoms my dog is never vaccinated because we don’t have dog rabies lol I even throw away the food my mom both for me because I taught my cat licked it . This happened 2 days ago my dog plays a lot for 2yrs he been playfully biting and scratching  for over 2yrs but I just got health anxiety last November so all this is new to me plz help

Rabies is fatal and an animal that contracts it, will, typically die within a few days.

If your dog has been itching for 2 yrs, you might want to take it to the vet and find out if it has a skin condition or something.  I wouldn’t eat food that my cat licked, either, but not because of rabies.  Cats can carry other things that might not be good for humans.  

I’d suggest you try to find a therapist that can help you with your health anxiety.  It’s easy to read an article and automatically, think we have “something”, but usually, we don’t.    Try to find a good therapist who can help you work through your health anxiety issue.
