Thalassemia minor and inflammation markers

Does thalassemia minor affect ESR and CRP?  I have a thalassemia minor, family history of hashimotos, sjogrens, and have tested positive for hla-b27, have family members with ankylosing, and have had symptoms of ankylosing and thyroiditis but ESR and CRP are normal.  Can you still have these conditions without inflammation markers?  Also have gastritis without presence of h. Pylori, could it also be autoimmune?

Definitely talk to a doctor, but please look into gluten intolerance . I had terrible symptoms for over a a decade, hard to say when it started, but my labs are usually abnormal, positive Ana, high rbc, weird shaped blood cells, I had so many symptoms, rashes, pain, gastrointestinal things, tingling. I went gluten free after becoming very gassy, and the next day gastrointestinal symptoms stopped, within 3 days my pain was mostly gone, it’s been almost 2 weeks since I first tried this and I feel great! I recommend looking into gluten intolerance. Best of luck to you!

Thank you.  I have done elimination diets in the past, including FODMAP.  Gluten has never been a trigger for me, although I have problems with fructose.
You’re welcome, I think food allergies is definitely a possibility, gluten can be hidden in many items including soy sauce and beauty products. If not gluten, other food allergy may be causing problems. Anyway hope you feel better soon!
Also some gluten sensitive people are affected by oats as well as wheat, barley and rye. Any small amount could lead to immune trigger, when trying gluten free it should be very strict avoidance. Usually if a person has one food allergy their chances of having another one goes up.
