nose odor

    I had this bad smell coming from my nose for awhile
      This is controlling my life,.    I can't do certain stuffs because I don't want to stink up the place.  The smell is so strong that I stink up a whole room.  It's ruining my social life.  Can someone please help me??

EVERY WHERE I GO I SEE PEOPLE COVERING /WHIPING /PLUGING THERE NOSES ITS DESTROYING MY LIFE THIS STRANGE BAD ODOR THAT I CAN SMELL TO BUT  I DONT KNOW WHAT IT SMELL LIKE SOME OF MY FRIEND SAY THEY CANT SMELL ANYTHING BUT THEY SIGHY 24//7 AND MAKE WIERD BREATHING NOISES AND WHEN I TURN MY HEAD THERE HANDS GO OVER THERE NOSE  . I THINK THE SMELL COMMING OUTOF MY NOSE MAY SMELL LIKE A BARN YARD  OR A SEWER PLANT SOME TIMES I GET DIIFFRENT WIFFS OF SMELLS SOMETIMES  MUSTY OR VOMITTY SMELL. LIKE I SAID I CAN NOT PIN POINT IT  BUT I KOW ITS THERE EVEN IF IM OUT SIDE EVERYONE CAN SMELL ME IT SEEMS OR THEY SMEEL SOMETHING ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP ME  I HAVE A WHOLE LIFE TO LIVE TO  PLEASE HELP CANT NOT LIVE FOREVER LIKE THIS HELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP Me ?????????

I dont have an answer I have the same horrible problem in the work place im about to lose my job I just recently figured it out that I stunck but now that I know for sure this was a problem at my last job to but when i saw the signs people just said your paranoid. Well my nose is terrible the smell the first time I ever smelled myself in the work place someone had a fan turned on me it was hurendous like farm animal waste another person descibed it like dead fish or poop.Im at my wits end doing mouth wash on breaks taking drymouth lousenges, gum candy,mint spray nothing helps and it literally stinks up a whole department they even had to open the shipping doors for ventilation im worried i just got hired a month ago im sure they regret it!Could it be TMAU I hope not I hope its something cureable,like sinuses or probiotics like what ive been reading. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Tdoll, I too have the same issue. I used to sit next to this guy in class who had a mild odor. Then I noticed, even when I wasn't sitting next to him I would smell this weird "smelly shorts" smell. After my classmate complained of smelling vomit. I didnt know what she was talking about. Then once I raised my hand to my nose, I smelled it. After that I went to my ENT. He told me that I had a sinus infection but denied that other people were smelling it (...but they were). He gave me some antibiotics and after the first day of taking the pills the smell was stronger than ever. Then over the next couple of days the smell began to fade. It was gone for about a month but just recently came back. I now have sewage smell coming from my nose that us very strong. It seems to flare up when im driving in the car with the windows down or when Im sitting by a window. I will try to eat healthier and. I will pray for all of our health to be restored back to a great state. Im at a loss of options here.

I think I have finally got cured..I did a water fast for 3 days and it seem to have helped me and my mind..I feel like a new person already.. I wanted to let everyone know what worked for me...idk if ur supposed to eat healthy before you start the fast or you just do it..but I was already eating healthy and not junk food..after the fast I just ate healthy and idk if I have bad breath but honestly I don't care.. As long as I don't have a nasty smell coming out of my nose Idc..my tounge seems to be pink though and even I. The morning..good luck you guys

Try taking probiotic yorghut.this will help alot in balancing bacterias in ua body as well as boosting your immune system.it will inturn eliminate the odour.i too had this problem for over 5years.i had a stengy sewage odour in my nostrils.people used to cover their noses when i was around them or some use to poke their fingers in.after taking the probiotic ,the problem disappeared completely.

I TOO HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. IT STARTED ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO AND GOES AND COMES. IT LASTS FOR A FEWS MONTHS AT A TIME THEN GOES AWAY FOR FOR A MONTH OR SO BEFORE I START TO NOTICE IT AGAIN. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED I TRIED "OIL PULLING" ITS KIND OF WIERD WHEN YOU FIRST START BUT YOU GET USE TO IT. AFTER ABOUT 3 WEEKS OF SWISHING THE OIL 3 TIMES A DAY I NOTICED THE SMELL GOT STRONGER FOR ABOUT A WEEK BUT THEN STARTED TO FADE. AFTER ANOTHER WEEK IT WAS COMPLETELY GONE. IT HAS NOW BEEN 7 MONTHS WITH NO SMELL! PLUS I HAVE NOTICED LESS "TONSIL STONES" WHICH I CHECK FOR WEEKLY. "OIL PULLING" IS USING VEG OR COCONUT OIL (MY CHOICE) KIND OF LIKE MOUTH WASH - BUT DO NOT GARGLE. YOU SWISH AROUND, PULL & PULL IT THROUGH YOUR TEETH FOR 15-20 MIN 2-3 TIME A DAY, THEN SPIT. YOU CAN FIND MORE INFO ONLINE. IT IS AWESOME & I WISH I WOULD HAVE LEARNED ABOUT IT SOONER.

  I had the same thing for awhile and was treated for a sinus infection. It took more than one antibiotic but it finally worked and I don.t have it anymore. I agree, its hell to live with, the most embarrassing thing I ever had. See your ENT and try it. Good Luck and God bless

Has anyone ever tried "PONARIS NASAL EMOLLIENT"? It used to be a standard in NASA's medical space kit. It runs around $10 a bottle. You insert it in your nose with the enclosed dropper; it contains moisturizing botanical oils like peppermint, pine, eucalyptus.  It really does the job of taking care of the odor in your nose and even improves the smell of your breath.  Good Luck. my problem is to the point i dont want to live. i'm 28 and spend my days in bed too embarrassed to leave my house. i've tried nasal washes, nasal steriods, antibiotics and have just heard theres no cure.. i cant live with this so i really hope some researchers take this seriously and come up with a cause and cure.. its killing me

Try Neosporin or betadine ointment. First, wash nasal passages very thoroughly with warm water - then rinse thoroughly with 50% solution of hydrogen peroxide (I/2 water, 1/2 peroxide) before applying the ointment. Use your finger or a cotten-tipped applicator (finger is safer) to apply a thin coat of the ointment over the entire inner surface of each nostril. You may have to do this twice a day until the problem is gone. Start up again if it returns. Tends to be a recurring problem. Try these few suggestions that have helped me.  I put Vicks vaporub inside my nose every single night and after 4 yrs. hasn't hurt me yet, so don't be afraid.  Also try dabbing betadine (yes it is expensive) inside your nose. I think it is actually a yeast type of infection in my situation.

i have the same exact problem , since i was 13 , now i'm 17 and it has ruin my social life it's been like a curse, now i can't even be close to the peolpe i love , and  it's exactly how you describe, it's horrible , but i've heard it can't be cured.
