Semen coming out of the anus???

This may seem like a wierd question and I've never heard of anyone else having this problem but here it goes...

So I've been having this issue when I poop I sometimes see what appears to be semen.  Pardon the graphic description but it looks, has the consistancy of, and smells like it.  It isn't very frequent by any means but I do see it from time to time.  I'm not gay and have never put anything in that cavity so that can be ruled out.  Is this common or is this something that I should have checked out by my physician?

You may have some kind of fistula.  It's certainly rare and I suspect the only way to verify it is through an MRI.  If it bothers you (and you have insurance with a low deductible or co-pay), I might do it.  If it really isn't bothering you, I don't know if I'd worry much about it.

The insurance system is such that it would make sense if you could group is with ANOTHER MRI (i.e., find something else to take an image of and through this one in, too).  I know, easier said than done, but check it out if you can.

I don't know if it is really semen. But the important thing to do here is consult with your doctor and even better, a urologist. Actual ejaculation from your anus would be beyond rare. If even it ever has happened before. However, you could have a rectal prostate fistules. Can you speak to your doctor about this?

I also have the same scenario ... did you ever get that MRI and if so, what was the diagnosis?

Thanks rlstatedotcom

I guess it bothers me only because it seems abnormal, but the MRI sounds like something that could be done.  I'm not sure exactly what a fistula is but I may do some research.

Boy, that's a bit out of the ordinary.  I doubt it's semen but who knows.  I'd let the doc know about that one.
