Am I at risk from this?

I recently received oral sex from a sex worker in China. I was wearing a condom and no contact was made and it remained fully intact we also did not kiss or touch each other in any other way. The environment was not great but fairly clean however I fear the bed was not entirely clean (a little damp but cold). I know for pretty much certain no one had used the room for at least 15 mins perhaps a little longer. I have a little sore on my back and I am worried I may have exposed myself via this and the damp but cold bed.

Please tell me if I could have put myself at risk and if it is worth testing for HIV?

I think I am just a little mad because of guilt towards my wife!

Please let me know one way or the other ASAP.

Thank you.

Thanks believe it or not your slightly harsh response is precisely what I needed to hear. Thank you again and I will now fully focus on the dealing with the whole guilt problem and quit wasting my and your time on this subject.

I have no further comment.  Did you think I might have changed my mind?  Use a little common sense and draw your own conclusion.  This thread is over.

Can you just confirm no need to get any form of testing done and should just focus on dealing with the guilt?

Even with unprotected oral sex, the risk for STDs is low and the risk for HIV virtually zero.  With a condom, there is no risk, period.  And you can't catch any STD by touching unclean bedsheets; the thing on your back is irrelevant.  I agree the only issue here is your guilt.

Good luck--  HHH, MD
