Femara

Hello!   So i'm back from surgery, and a little dopey feeling so sorry for the typos! (they saved my ovaray removed the large endometrioma) and unfornately she said she wasn't able to clean much up since it was mostly on my bowel and bladder and ureters (only a couple of spots on my good ovary)   she said it was one of the worst cases she has ever seen (great!!!)   and that she is recommending me do lupron or femara for supression for 3-6 months.. we have been ttc for a year so before surg we thought we wouldn't do any of those meds since it woudl simply delay concieving longer.. I have pretty much decided against lupron, but may be open to doing femara for three months constantly.. anyone done this? i know it can be used for ovulation - like clomid.. but looks like new studies are showing if you use it consistently it is helping... I wander if it would simply supress the endo for a few months then it would all come back, or if it would actually get rid of some of it!??  so frustrating! any help would be great! thanks!

It is impossible to have side effects from a drug with a 2 day half life 1 1/2 years after stopping use.  It is either caused by another condition or you are imagining it.  Don't post BS on this website when women are already worried and looking for answers.

I was on Femara for 3 months for the treatment of endometriosis and had alot of side effects from the treatment. I could not function.i have been off of Femara for 1 1/2 years and still experiencing side effects from the drug! My endo is back the pain is worse than ever! Doctors don't know much about effects of the drug in premenopausal women. Terrible side effects from Femara....not worth it!!!!!!!

I think it would just suppress it. I am no expert on femara or endo but i know that it doesnt get rid of anything it just puts it at a stand still untill it no longer has an affect or until you come off it.  :(
