Green fungus

I have a green fungus in my ears.  I went to a ENT doctor and he cleaned them out but it is still in there.  They will hurt.  I know it came from my basement in Michigan.  I lived in what is know as tornado alley and there was all this greenish gray dust everywhere.  After ear drops he has me putting alcohol down them.  What is the next step.

I have had the same green fungus in both ears in addition to severe itchy, dry, flaky skin on both the external lobe and external ear canal for approx. 5-6 months now.  I scratched and picked so frequently at them that they also started to swell in "bumps" that would periodically throb painfully and then (I don't know how else to explain this) grow a white head like a pimple and erupt.  Then it would start over again and this would go on for several minutes while I stuffed cotton balls or tissues in my ears to block the fluid.
I have seen my family doctor, was "treated" by an ENT specialist for 4 weeks, tested for MRSA (neg.), had Numerous topical ointments and eardrops prescribed, was put on steroids two separate times and then sent to a Dermatologist that I had to wait FOUR weeks to get an appt. with.  By the time I made that appointment whatever I had had spread to a fungus in my toes and feet and other private areas!   The Dermatologist saw nothing wrong from 5 feet away and just prescribed two more ointments for me!!!!  The only thing they all agreed on was that I needed to STOP picking at my ears, and I would LOVE to comply if the bugs crawling in there or out of there would GO AWAY.  The dryness also feels like tiny particles of sand laying in the canal and you know what the fungus feels like.
I am sorry to be so longwinded, I am frustrated and continually trying to figure out where to turn.  I just found this website about two hours ago!  Some other symptoms I have lead me to believe I may have a parastic infection-maybe my symptoms are a result of that and not the other way around.  Keep that in mind if the vinegar and alcohol swishes are not successful.
I hope the doctor"s recommendation to you is successful.  I wouldn't wish these symptoms on my worst enemy!

Fungal otitis externa is usually well treated with vinegar and alcohol swishes (after debridement in the office).  Usually white vinegar followed by water or alcohol will help treat this problem.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
