Hi, thanks for your reply and giving the necessary details. How old are you? Regarding the use of Gabapentin, you are regularly using since last September and had you suffered similar pains any time in the course of taking the drug? Although it has side effects as any other medicine, joint pain is not among the common or usual ones. You need to consult your attending doctor who had prescribed Gabapentin and update him of the possibility of the joint pains due to taking the drug. Are you been regularly followed up for your thigh pain? How is the pain presently? If it has decreased, you can discuss to decrease the dose or frequency or even to stop it. Do post your thoughts and your review details. Take care.

Hi Suri123
It is me that has the joint pain and it has existed for approximately 1 week.  I have trouble walking and using my arms because of the pain in the elbows, shoulders and lesser pain in the wrists of both the left and right side.
The suspect medication is gabapentin (for pain confined to the left thigh secondary to nerve damage following back surgery to replace two discs and insertion of a titaniium rod for stabilization). The surgery was last June and the results have been excellent! I have been on the gabapenten since last September.  I also have osteoporosis with the degenerative joint desease. I take fosamax 70 mg weekly.  I have been on the fosamax for 2 1/2 years with no side effects.
Two weeks ago I developed pneumonia and was given levaquin, prednasone, and an albuterol inhaler for use three to four times daily.
I think I remember some warning from the doctor that gabapen may cause joint pain.
Thank you for your e-mail.

Hi seb5512, how are you? Please give some more information regarding who is suffering from these multiple joint pain and since when it has been? What kind of medication do you think has caused it and what for the drug was taken? Usually the attending physician gives information regarding the possible side effect of the drug while prescribing the medication. It could also be Arthritis due to many causes. Are you the one suffering with or some one else? Hope to hear you back with these details or consult your doctor. Take care.
