My 9 yr old also has an extremely small penis for his age and when I say that I'm comparing it to my two year old who's penis is bigger than my 9 yr old. I didn't really think to much of it until my 2 yr old came along and I couldn't help but notice the difference. I been meaning to discuss it with his doctor. I'm also getting concerned because now he's beginning to notice other kids his age are larger and he ask me why he was so snall. He's not overweight he slim and very healthy well feed and very active.
I just saw your post about your son and his penis size being small. My son is also large, about 45" tall and about 75# and I have the same problem and want to know how things turned out, if you found out anything ?
I searched for this topic stream because my son is 8 1/2 years old and his penis is about a 1/2 in long now. He's not overweight, but has the chubby pad around his shaft like all little boys. I saw him get out of the bath the other night and was shocked. I understood why it always seemed he couldn't aim (There's always a mess in the bathroom when he's done)! But he has nothing To aim.
After he was born and circumcised, his Dr. said he also may need to be re-circumcised. I dread what all that will entail, because one of the good things about getting a child circumcised as a baby is, they don't remember it. I am about 8" long myself, and am worried for him that this could be something medical.
And NO, I haven't said anything to him about it. I am wondering if I should take him to a Dr. now, or just wait until after puberty and if he says something about it, then take him to a Dr? That is what I am trying to figure out now. If it's an issue of his original circumcision and it needs to be re-done, then I would have him do it now. But if it's just a matter of waiting for puberty, then I'll leave it alone. Any thoughts?
As a side thought: To all who are commenting about how Odd it is to actually spend time thinking about your child's penis seize, then realize it is no different than an other body part to a parent. If your child had a small hand, or a cleft pallet, or a daughter that hit puberty and had 1 breast not growing in as quickly as the other, would you not seek help for the child? Be kind in your remarks on medical forums, because, if your are not a Doctor, then you may just come across as rude and apathetic. And if you are going to be apathetic, then why answer at all? Be kind to people asking for help, that's all.
The size dos matter but mostly to men, who have the need to feed their ego. Since a woman so-call G spot is only 2-3" from the opening of her VJ he should be ok. Give him time and don't make it a crises in his life or it can interfere with his growth and maturity.
Pretty sure this is a legit post, and a genuine concern. My son was born with chordee and hac an operation on his penis in 2012. Occasionally though very rarely chordee an be associated with micropenis. I havnt noticed his penis grow at all anxd I have big anxieties over it for him later in life. He could be totally fine or he could not. Dont ridicule this mother for seeking advice.
If you think that post was a joke, I'm pretty sure it wasn't because I would have wrote the same thing almost verbatum. My son turns 5 this week and he pees all over the floor as his penis is practically inverted into the skin around it. My son is also very big, about 48" tall and about 75lbs stocky and has muscletone. I have had some personal issues in this department myself. I was the smallest kid in school and didnt reach puberty until 19 and was always embarrased by my penis size. When they did the circumcism on my son they made some kind of error and said they would have to redo it. i dont want my son to grow up insecure like i did, and i know there is something very wrong with his penis
of course if the biy is rather fatty, the penis looks like "buried" in the fat'scushion and looks like a small button, but, of course a 7 years old boy when "normal" has erections and like (lear,n) to play with penis, the important is to see how his penis looks when he has erection.
I'm a retired nurse and saw sexually active adult men with a barely less than 4 inches erect penis who never unsatified because that, and many wives are also satisfied with that.
On each case a woman do like masturbate and never a finger could be longer and wider that such a penis !
If she satisfies herself with finger, why not with a 4 inches erect husband's penis ?
Agreed.....if it is not a faker, focus on the overweight issue. No 7 year-old should be overweight. The parents are the ones who buy his food and should be watching what he eats. I see too darned many parents stuffing their kids with McDonalds and other junk and then they wonder why the kid is big. I blame parents not a 7 year-old.
Yeah, wow...I think you are probably the one giving him a complex. I think at 7 years and being overweight should be the real issue here, not his penis size. Him being overweight this young could lead to serious health issues, like heart & cholesterol problems, including diabetes. That should be the concern here.
my best friend told me that they grow when puberty hits, i dont think it should be an issue though. is he worried about it now that you talked to the dr about it? (hopefully not in front of him).
That's funny me2mommy really, what size should it be? All I know is that EVERYONE'S penis is different. I have seen Very big and I have seen VERYYYY small. They do exist. Sometimes not the norm but not the end of the world either.
His penis is small compared to what? I don't even know what an average 7 year old's penis should look like size wise.
Work on making sure he has a healthy diet and gets into a normal weight range for his age. That's the important issue.
HIs penis size may increase when he reaches puberty. Nothing to worry about right now, and nothing to do about it anyway at this young age.
Boys have a fat pad that surrounds their penis, as they grow it shrinks. Some just take longer. I wouldn't worry about it and by continuing to push the issue you are likely to make him way more self-conscious about it than he will already be. It is okay, if the doc isn't concerned, I wouldn't be.
I have to tell you, I have a 6 year old and I don't spend much time (any actually) thinking about or worrying about his penis size.
