I'm not sure the nature of your inquiry as there is a notation that refers to RVOT Abliation, but I'm assuming you are relating to a cardiac anomaly that are usually congenital. RVOT ablation would be referring to the electrophysiology of the unit/system with a cath and radio frequencies.
RVOT (right ventricle output tract) can be referring to dimensions. The tract can be abnormally narrowed, oversized causing regurgitation, and if size is greater than 4 cm it is referred to as an aneurysm. Ultrasound, echocardiogram can estimate the dimensions, determine blood flow volume for stenosis (narrow), backflow from regurgitation (oversized) or any ciritical bulge of the vessel tissue (aneurysm).
RVOT include repair and replacement of the pulmonary valve. These techniques include implantation of bioprosthetic conduits which can consist of woven polyester tubes. The tubes are used as supportive housing for glutaraldehyde-fixed porcine or bovine pericardial valves. Some surgeons prefer to implant a non-valved conduit or homograft, some to perform a valvuloplasty, there by establishing a connection between systemic arteries and the pulmonary artery.
Sometimes the condition can be managed with medication and exercise and closely monitored..
