Bump on septum in nose

I've had a bump growing on my septum for the past three months. It started on one side and is getting larger and is now on both. I'm wondering what it is. It doesn't really bother me unless I'm congested. Could it be a tumor or a polyp? Please help, I don't have health insurance so I'm not sure what to do. Thanks.

it's called a keyloid
it's an infection inside the skin and you have to squeeze it until you get the puss out, like a pimple. i took my septum out and have it now too.

Jess523, I have exactly the same thing as you have described. Years back, I was to have the lump removed, though was told it would bleed terribly and there was a high risk of infection, I decided against having it removed ... though,  I really wish I would have gone ahead and had it cut out. Since then I've had it checked by doctors and had been told everything from cancer to a cyst ... one doctor was quite alarmed when seeing it and sent me to a specialist and he said it was nothing, though I think he was wrong. When I push the bump to one side it looks like a ugly wart or something and it's somewhat soar, I recently had rhinoplasty (nose job) and I had not mentioned this condition to the doctor, as I thought he'd notice if it was anything abnormal ... dumb me, I really should have brought it to his attention and maybe then he could have removed it ... the area continues to be sore
