the tip of my tongue hurts;little white bumps on it

ok, so I'm getting the same problem too. After reading all of these comments im kind of getting scared about having herpes or something. About 4 days ago I noticed that i got little cuts on the corners of my lips and that there was a little white thing on it that looked like a pimple but it isnt, and the tip of my tongue reallyyy hurts like crazyy. I have noticed that there are little white bumps on it .. and i usually never have that. And im not sure if this has something to do with that but my tonsils also hurt like a mother. Its so hard to eat and drink and swallow because they feel like theres a knife stabbing them. I havn't made out or kissed anyone in a while so im pretty much sure that isnt the cause of this. But over the weekend i did smoke and get high, so maybe i burned myself? im not sure. but im really worried about this and i want it to go away. please help??

Okay, so ive been feeling the same thing. I have these bumps/sores on the tip of my tongue and they are irritatingly bad that I sometimes want to cut my friggen tongue off! the are irritated yet have a slight, if you shall say (irritated tickle.) ive HEARD that you use WARM water with salt. swish for a bit and it should help. do it frequently throughout the day like 3 times a day! I hope this helped. but you tell me.

Oh, and, PS; if someone can come up with something that actually 'masks' them, or a make up that can actually civer them... Get some ad sponsorship, cause you will make a billion.

It's got nothing to do with fizzy drinks! Lol!
It's either; blisters, warts, a burn, a virus, herpes/cold sores or canker sores.
They are viral, passed from person to person, or just a natural occurrence, depending on which it is you have.
If cold sores; they will go on their own, but live in your spine and will always come back, like a distant realitive you don't want to visit!
You're lucky if you just get cold sores on your tongue! At least that wont ruin a night out or an important meeting, but most people get them on their lips or mouth area.
Medication can ease pain and make them go a day or so earlier, but all in all; you either need help or don't - I've found meds just make it easier, but they're still as visible as a mountain! I also find the term 'cold sores' misleading. They're not cold, can come in any weather, especially when exposed to sun and the so-called sores are not sores at all, but blisters?!? Cold sores are blisters?! Why not call them hot blisters! Would be more appropriate!
Just trying out salt and toothpaste as I hear it works... We'll see.
They're easily contracted if you get them and highly contagious and although they look disgusting, don't be ashamed, you're in the majority!

Hey. Same symtoms here. I have no ides what it is. I have this 8 years ago, I just called it 'fizzy tongue' . Have recently had it againa month ago not long after having antibiotics . I am wondering if it is a delayed reaction to the antibiotics and it could be related to oral thrush.(it went away but has just come back!)Could be herpes though. The thing is with me that it doesnt affect any other part of my mouth except my tongue. I am rinsing my mouth with mild salt water and a friend has given me some live acidophilus culture. (stuffed if i know if that will help). Its not nice having the annoying pain though so i know what you are going through. I have a gland up on the left side just under my chin. not a place i have ever felt a gland . (normally high up on my neck) . more comments and advice welcome here!!!
