Silver "balls" falling

I sometimes get silver ball shapes falling continously in both of my eyes.  They just fall straight down and about 10 to 20 flashes of this in each setting.  I almost had to pull over one night driving home because it distracted my eyesite so badly.  I use to take topamax and it would happen quite often.  But I have been off of that for some time and it still happens.  My doctor thought that is what was causing this.   Should I see a eye doctor or a head doctor?

This discussion is related to flashes with eye movement.
