spots

white spots on spinel cord are getting bigger

I had mri and it said several small nonspecific foci of abnormal T2 signal changes in the deep white matter.     This was w/o contrast. I know deep white matter is around the cerebellum and brainstem.correct? This answer above is this the answer to my question? I have multiple tumors on my spine to.  Linda

Hi there.

these white spots may be focal degenerative changes that can be due to demyelination, or conditions such as ALS.  There can also be cyst formation in this area.  The important thing is to correlate these changes with the symptoms that you may be experiencing.  Spine operations may be warranted if ever these changes causes significant symptoms.
