Head slapping

I have a grandson who is l yr-old. I am starting to get anxious and alarmed on his latest behavior. When he sees someone eating or sees some foods, he screams not until he is given and it should be successive. He screams abnormally in between. Aside from this, he SLAPPED HIS HEAD on the sides ( above the ear ) with both hands when we tell him "don't scream" or "no". Please give us your professional observation and advise.

He is communicating to you , do you all eat at the same time? make sure he has food on his plate ,then ignore the rest,if you dont respond to the Yelling he will give up.Sounds like he is demanding attention and yelling will make you respond, so dont.If he continues put him in another part of the room in his chair till you are done, do this quietly and with no comments to him.
