I have exophoria also, never required treatment and not interfere with my doing surgery, sports, even 3-D movies ("Gravity" is awesome movie)

I've ALWAYS had exophoria (I remember my parents mentioning it when I was in elementary school), and I'm 65 now, and am having no problems with it. My ophthalmologist notices it, but I don't! :-)
I"m not familiar with Texas Eye but if they're MDs you can be assured they are ingood hands.

Thanks for responding, his doctor is referring us to Texan Eye in Austin. Do you think they can do something for it other then eye strength exercises?
You son needs to be under the care of an eye Md ophthalmologist. Visual therapy in my experience is not helpful and is expensive. I have exophoria and am an Eye surgeon. You son will likely have good vision in both eyes and a great chance of the eyes working as a team (fusion).
