the itch drove me mad

has anyone been diagnosed with gallstones and had itching? I started with tremendous iching which started on my scalp and moved to my arms andchest. The itching has now gone and I have had various tests as I  have all the symptoms of gallstones. A c.t. scan says there are gallsones in the gall bladder but a m.r.c,p, scan shows nothing! The pain is unbearable and I have it nearly all the time. My next test is a liver biopsy as I have raised lft's. Has anyone out there had similar symptoms? For years I have complained of sthomach pain which goes through to my back. I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency and I,B.S. Has anyone an answer?

I'm having my gallbladder out next week because I had similar symptoms, including the relentless itching. An ultrasound revealed gallstones and bloodwork showed my lipase and bilirubin elevated 10X normal. Dr. prescribed a Medrol dosepack which helped with the itching, but also my enzyme levels went back down.

About all I know is, skin itching can be a sign that the kidneys aren't working right.  Toxins don't get cleared out of the body like they should, and they come out of the skin, and it can cause that annoying itching feeling.
