White spots on my mri were cost by a birth defect called a PFO. I was sent to Cleveland clinic and the start of everything was the eye doctor found a plaque in my left eye that I complained about a lot. Then cardiac testing was ordered and I had a hole in the upper chambers of my heart that blood clots where going through that's what caused mine and they call them mini strokes in my case.I then had to wait five months to get my heart fixed because my device in my heart is still expreimental, and the stroke board had to review my case to get insurance to cover it. Everyone has this opening, but usually it closes by time your eighteen months old. Some people do not have closure but also go through their life with out any complications. Until, my heart repair the doctor kept my blood thin out with meds. Also, before they could fix the heart they had to proof to insurance their was no other medical reason i had these ministrokes.
Hi,
How old are you?
White spots on the brain are referred to as lesions or areas of damage in the brain.
They can occur as a result of trauma, diabetes, migraine and hypertension to name a few.
These white spots have been associated with short term memory loss.
