MDeity attitude is what got me where I am

You were rude and out of line criticizing Ginny for actually caring about the young lady asking the question.

Last year I was referred to a Dr. Goldfarb of St. Thomas in Nashville after a ECG came back with abnormalities suggesting I had had a heart attack and an ultrasound of my heart showed two valves not working properly. His exact words were "You're a woman who hasn't gone through menopause, so we don't need to worry about this."

Well, guess what, I did have to worry about it. Not only had I experienced a heart attack, I had another one in June of this year. I'm 42, very fit, don't smoke, and don't drink. And now I am living with what may be permanent damage to my heart due to the "don't worry your pretty little head about it" attitude of a cardiologist who refused to take my case seriously.

People like him and you are why I despise the medical community. I hope we vote someone into the White House who will totally socialize medicine. Maybe it will take you MDeities down a few pegs.

Lost my insurance here too.  My previous health issues and now this ICD has really made me think just how class oriented our medical system is.  If ya have the bucks, it works just fine.  If your broke,  fall over dead in a ditch.  It really is that blunt.  The system is badly broken and needs to be fixed.  I will not see it happen but it will.  There is so much money going to the top --- no one seems to care it is getting sucked up from those least able to pay.  We just had a new hospital built here and the elevators are lined with embossed copper walls....  More Beamers in the Dr. lot than in a new car dealership  and the snotty attitude of the medical staff is over the top.  I treat my Dr and his staff as equals or less and they are very very uncomfortable with that.....  My only secret little revenge.

I lost my health insurance the first of June, so as of now I get no health care AT ALL. If that isn't rationing, I don't know what is.

If you get socialize medicine, you will be pitching a fit because it will take you soooo long to get an appointment to see ANY specialist, including a cardiologist.  No matter how you plead or think your case is special, it won't make any difference.  Those who are for socialized medicine have never lived it!  You are in for a major shock.   And this is all I am going to say about it, so don't flame me.

I was in the Emergency room, a doctor told me he could look at a person and tell if they were having a heart attack or not...He said I wasn't and gave me pills for my stomach.  I went home and drove myself back to the hospital the next day saying the pills didn't work and I felt worse and now the pain was in my neck and jaw.....Yes The main decending artery was 99.9% blocked. I was given a clot buster drug, and then angioplasty. The family was called in and my husband was told I would not make it thru the night. That was 16 years ago, since then I have had many angiograms, and 5 stents put in on seperate occasions. The doctor told us my heart would not last another 5 years...that was 10 years ago.....Yep that dr. screwed up and so does any dr who says not to worry about any pains......My cardiologists tell me it is better to be safe than sorry and to go immediatly to the ER and be checked out!!!
