Irritable Bowel Syndrome

I've had trouble with IBS for a long time now.  I've had colonoscopy done several times over a period of years.  Also, recently I find myself with stomach aches , nauseated and gaseous.  Can you help explain this?  Or give me any ideas?

Thanks!

Have you tried MiraLax for the IBS?  I use it every day.

It can help with gas pain also.  From the MiraLax website:

"MiraLAX actually reduces cramps and gas that can be caused by constipation."

I don't work for the company - honest.  I'm just glad there is something that actually works.

Basically, I've had a cat scan done and everything there looked normal according to the results.  Hopefully, the colonoscopy may indicate what the problem may be.

I have an awful stomach problem and from this site have discovered that it along with taking Pepto Bismal tablets has caused my tongue to be covered with the black coloring.

Anyway, I appreciate your assistance.

Have a Great Day!

Hi Pal,

I am not sure what to say. IBS does not effect the upper gi system. What other tests beside a colonoscopoy did you hsve done? Did they take a biopsy of the colon to check for other things? I know that Chrons can and will attack the upper GI system, including the tounge. Can I suggest that you contact your GI and discuss this with him?
