Have you tried a high fibre diet to make your motions easier to expel? Suggestions are pulverised fresh fruit and pulverised fresh vegetables to which bran has been added. Bran can also be added to yoghurt. No processed foods, brown wholemeal bread etc etc.
Also I suggest that you seek a definite diagnosis for your rectal bleeding. Insist on a colonoscopy if you are offered a vague diagnosis such as "well it looks as if it might be......". rectal bleeding is never normal and should be investigated.

to clarify last message.... the blood is mostly after a BM but I have also noticed it after I have urinated only. But it is definetly coming from the rectum.
The mucous is clearto white sometimes it is pale yellow to beige. I notice the mucous (sometimes a large amout) on the tissue when I wipe after the BM. Mostly after a BM but I also have noticed it after I have only urinated. But when I wipe the blood is red and from the rectum. Stools are soft mostly and are normal in color. I have not had any dark or black stools.
What color is the mucous, and is it seperate from the bowel movement or in it?
It the blood there before or after a bowel movement?
Are the stools soft or hard, light ot dark?
