HIV symptoms

Dear DR.
I have been really concerned about myself lately. I went to the doctor and had a bacterial infection for leaving a tampon in for a week; I forgot that it was still there. So I went to the doctor so that they could give me medication for the infection. They did a vaginal cultural on me so that they could check for an STD's. I called back for my results and they told me I tested positive for Chlamydia. Ever since then Ive been scared that I might have HIV. I slept with this guy without protection and I dont know if he may have contracted HIV or any other disease. Im mainly scared of the HIV. I had sex with him in may of 2008 (of this year). When I saw him in 2007 of last year around the same time he was a little bigger in weight. Then when I saw him this year in may of 2008 he was a little slimmer. In 2007 he told me that he had been trying to work out so he could lose weight. Im not sure thats an indication of HIV but Im sooo worried. I havent had any symptoms or illnesses, or flu like symptoms. Im just so scared because I dont know what his std status was. I have a little rash on my face, but Im trying to figure out if its linked to HIV. Doc Im soooo scared. Im not going to say that I have it but Im just a little clueless. I heard that symptoms usually occur 2 to 3 week after being infected, but I didnt have any type of symptoms or any illnesses. I did have a slight sore throat 2 weeks ago and a very little cold but I got over it 3 days later. Doc please can you help me and give some comfort and assurance so that I wont be shaking in my boots going to get tested; Im crying now just thinking that I may or may not be infected with the virus. Pleassssseee help me

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE WORRIED51600787657. ITS BEEN 4 YEARS NOW AND THE LAST TIME I HAD SEX WAS OVER A YEAR AGO AND I FINALLY DECIDED TO GET TESTED. MY FIRST TEST WAS DONE ON CAMPUS BACK 2009 THE EARLIER PART OF THE YEAR. I WAS SOOO SCARED, THEY SAID THE RESULTS WOULD BE READY IN 15 MINUTES. SO OF COURSE I PACED BACK AND FOURTH FOR OVER AN HOUR AND MY RESULTS HAD BEEN READY. SO MY FRIENDS WERE LIKE GO GET THE RESULTS. I WAS VERY HESITANT WHEN THE TESTER ASKED ME MY NAME. IT TOOK ME 5 MINUTES JUST TO GIVE HIM MY NAME. I JUST CRIED AND CRIED AND CRIED, AND HE SAID WERE GONNA GET HELP FOR YOU. I JUST FELL TO MY FEET AND DIDN'T KNOW HOW THIS WAS GONNA CHANGE MY LIFE. HE HUGGED ME AND TOLD ME IT WOULD BE OK AND THAT THERE ARE MEDICINES OUT THERE THAT WILL HELP U LIVE A LONNNG PROSPEROUS ACTIVE LIFE. I WAS A LITTLE RELIEVED. THEN HE SAID NOW GIVE ME YOUR NAME, SO I DID AND HE LOOKED ME DEAD IN THE EYE AND SAID WE MOST DEFINTELY WILL HELP YOU, BUT THERES PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO REALLY NEED THE HELP. HONEY, I KNOW THESE RESULTS MAY BE SHOCKING TO YOU, BUT YOU ARE H.I.V NEGATIVE. AHHHHHH LOLOL I SAT IN THAT PLACE FOR HOURS PACING BACK AND FOURTH, I EVEN MISSED A FEW CLASSES FOR HIM TO TELL ME I WAS NEGATIVE. I WAS SOOOOO HAPPY. THANK GOD, AND I JUST WENT AND HAD A BLOOD TEST DONE JULY 14, 2010 TO MAKE SURE THAT THE RESULTS WERE ACCURATE AND OF COURSE THE RESULTS CAME BACK TWO WEEKS LATER AND THEY WERE NEGATIVE. SO THE MORAL OF THIS STORY IS TO STRAP UP AND PROTECT YOURSELF BECAUSE JUST AS EASY AS THOSE RESULTS CAME BACK NEGATIVE, THEY COULD HAVE TOLD I TESTED POSITIVE. I HAVENT HAD SEX IN OVER A YEAR AND THE NEXT TIME I DECIDE TO HAVE SEX ITS GONNA BE WITH A GUY THAT IM INTERESTED IN, AND WE BOTH ARE GONNA GET TESTED FOR EVERYTHING, WHICH IVE ALREADY DONE AND IM STD FREE. I KEEP MY RESULTS IN MY CAR TO PAY HOMAGE TO GOD FOR KEEPING ME HEALTHY AND SAFE. SO WRAP IT UP, IF YOU PLAN ON BEING SEXUALLY ACTIVE.
