Thanks for your response,I guess we all hope for simple answers to what might be potentially difficult conditions.Unfortunatly the health care situation here in Las Vegas is not what it should be.I have been waiting to see a specialist since October 15th,and despite my concerned doctors intervention,I cant get to see one untill Dec,10,Then getting into a lab for a colonoscopy is the next hurdle.Since they closed some of them for criminal behavior, the existing ones are all overcrowded. So I guess if I wait long enough I will either be cured or dead.I was also made aware by friends that pay for a health plan that allows you to pick the doctor of your choice, only to discover too late that none of them are taking on any new patients. What a mess! If you hear from me again ,Its only because I survived the medical Maze!!!!!!!
Rectal bleeding should always be investigated as it is not normal. Causes can be minor (anal fissure, haemorrhoids etc) - but there are more sinister causes especially for those who have reached the age of ~40+.
I suggest that you ask for a colonoscopy if the causes cannot be positively identified as minor ones - such as mentioned above.
