Reached Due Date & Now Impatient

Has anybody else reached their due date and still waiting for baby to come? I'm due today and have been waiting for contractions all week. I thought for sure that yesterday they would start but no, nothing. I've been experiencing some odd pains over the last week and have attributed them to Braxton Hicks but that's about it. My doctor hasn't given me any sort of internal exam so I have no idea if I am dilated at all. I have an appt again with her tomorrow.

I dont' know why I am so surprised because I have read that 7/10 babies are late and I'm only at my due date now. But I was so sure on my dates and I've seen so many women on here deliver before me who were due after me. I want to deliver naturally and am worried that they baby will get too big if it doesn't come out soon...  I think I am getting frustrated because the phone keeps on ringing with "Anything yet?"  It's driving me nuts!

Is anybody else going through anything similar?

Minimum 10 days over due???   HOLY MOLY!  I've been talking to my doctor about inducing me since I first found out I was preggers. LOL  

This is my third pregnancy, but fourth child.  It's HORRIBLE here in the winter and I didn't want to have all my young children home alone with me while i was laboring and nobody to help me out.  That's why I talked to him about induction.  I find out on the 22nd (I'll be 36 weeks) if he'll induce me at 37-38 weeks....but only if my cervix is favorable!!  (2-4cm)...I PRAY i is :)  

I wish you all that are due this month the best and can't waitto hear about your delivery stories and seeing those FACES!!  :)

i am now 1 day overdue and getting really impatient!just wanna see my baby now!been having mild pains in my bk for last few days! get induced on the 13th jan if she isnt born b4! some people seem to think she will be born 2morro! that wud be lovely but cant see that happening! hurry up chloe!!! hehe

Ive been a starvin' marvin these past two weeks. Ever since she dropped, the extra room in my stomach, i guess, has sent a signal to my brain that Im hungry!  I have been craving sweets like made...the first time this pregnancy!  Before now, chocolate and I did not get along in this pregnancy.  now, love it again!  I just feel like Im just so hungry and eating way more than I have before.  

However, my scale/weight is not moving either.  I read that the amount of amniotic fluid decreases as birth nears and not gaining/losing/maintaining your weight is normal during the last month of pregnancy.  My OB did not comment on my current weight status either.  No news/comment is good news to me, I guess.

Sophia is moving all the time...I have no idea when this baby sleeps! but I love feeling her move, so reassuring to me.

Hang in there girls!  We are just weeks away and even though it feels like we will be pregnant forever..there is an light at the end of this joureny!

She said I was 1cm dilated. She also scraped my membranes to get things started. Hopefully that will work some.

I asked about induction and she said that they won't do it until minimum 10 days over due. I could tell she didn't seem to fond of doing that though. Hopefully the scraping of the membranes help :)

I have also stayed the same wieght for the past month and a bit.. She didn't seem worried about that. I find it odd seeing how I have a big appetite. I have ate really healthy during this pregnancy. Always trying to follow the food guide to make sure I get my daily amount of fruits & veggies, dairy, meats, breads.. Haven't ate much junk food except for the last month. Ha! I'm eating a chocolate bar while writing this :)

I can't  believe that they havent checked you, I would be going nuts not knowing!!  Good to hear that maybe your mucus plug is coming out, thats a step in the right direction.  Have they mentioned, or are you at all interested in induction?

I'm 38wks and I have an appointment today and I'm hoping they do an internal and let me know where I'm at b/c I too have lost ALL patience!!!!

I have a doctors appt later today so I'm thinking she will give me my first internal exam then. I am 40w1d today..  

I think I may have started to lose my mucous plug so I'm hoping that is a sign. As well, I know I have been cramping like my period is coming so I definitely know my body is preparing for the baby. I just hope it prepares fast enough cuz I was really hoping to not be induced and to go through labour naturally...

I can't believe how impatient I am. I never thought I would be like this. When my sister got this way I would tell her to relax and enjoy her quiet time before the baby. Funny how it's easier said then done :)

Did you get an internal exam yet?

I had an appt. yesterday and am 1 cm dialated.. Soooo.. basically nothing going on! =(

trust me i know how u feel..i havent even reached my date yet i am just bout to be 38 weeeks and i have lost all patience..i went over a few days with my first pregnancy too.people keep telling me that u tend to go early on ur second but nothing!!!!although baby hasnt turned yet so im not sure i wanna go into labor and wind upwith a section anyways..but im definately not looking forward to the continued wait.good luck hope he shows up soon..

My due date has come and gone (doctor has it set at 12/31) ...and the most I've had are some mild cramps in the evenings.  At my appt on Friday I was 1.5 to 2 cm and still 50% effaced ...she said that could stay the same for a while or I could be in labor later that night (tho I wasn't!!  It's now Monday and still nothing!!).  

The wait is definitely tough!  I can't wait to meet my little man ... but I also don't want to "force" him out.  When I see my doctor today, I'll see what she recommends, but I'd like to give him at least till the end of the week to come out on his own.  I've wanted to deliver naturally, without having to be induced, but if that's what it comes down to, I know I will change my 'plans'.

BTW, I'm getting calls from my mom every couple of days ... "I want to talk to my grandson, is he here *yet*?"  LOL  She's too cute.  I keep trying to reassure her she will be the first person I call if something happens.  =D  Doesn't keep her from being impatient like me tho!  Must be where I get it from!

I know it's hard, but yer baby will decide to come sooner or later (tho we can always keep hoping for sooner!!).

Im at the 37 week mark but I completely understand about how  you feel.  I am so ready!

Maybe your OB, tomorrow, will talk about inducing you by a certain date if you don't go into labor.  My friend was in the same boat but went into labor on her own just a day before her planned induction. She delivered naturally.
