What is 3.8 cm. Prominence of the Ascending Thoracic Aorta

Had a chest Cat Scan done and found a 3.8 cm prominence of the ascending thoracic aorta.  What is this.  Have not went to cardiologist yet, just primary care doctor found this.  I also have trace of leaky valves.  Nothing big yet, not symtoms or medicine required.  Radiologist that read this did not specify if this was a anuerysm.  Just wondering.  Had the Cat Scan done because of being sick with cold and cough for 6 weeks.  Thank you

When tha aorta dimension reaches 4.0 cm it is considered to be an aneurysm.  If and when it reaches 5.0 cm there may be consultation for surgery.
