UltraSound Pictures

I am now 9 days overdue and had a fetal assessment done today. They said the baby is fine. Placenta looks good and enough water in there still. I have to do another one in 2 days to see if it will be still be ok for the weekend. We will talk about an induction on Monday which is 14 days overdue.

I did not look at the ultrasound because I still want to be surprised on the sex. At the end, she gave me a 3D Picture though of the face (maybe it was 4D). Anyhow, the picture scared me. The baby looked almost deformed. It's nose looked like it was super big and squished up. I got very upset and went straight to my doctor asking if a deformation could have been missed. She assured me it wasn't. Has anybody else been given ultrasound pictures where their baby looked deformed?

Even on the 4D we had at 20 weeks, there was only one "good" picture of her, the others made her look like scary baby.

At our last u/s, @ 34.5 weeks, our u/s tech showed us baby's face; she just looked right at the u/s probe.  It looked frighteningly ugly.  I am trying to console myself by the fact that it was 2D and that many u/s pix look kind of weird.  You have to take into account that your baby is basically floating in liquid and all squished.
