sleeping problems

for better part of last 10 years ive worked a variety of schedules...overnights, days, and sometimes a mixture of both...ive been taking over the counter sleeping pills for almost same amount of time...i have trouble falling asleep and maitaining that sleep...i wake to the slightest noise and usually cant fall back asleep

Medications don't treat the source of the problem, don't work well consistently, have side effects, and lose efficacy over time. You are better off investing time in behavioral methods for improving sleep as I have outline in many of my posts.

sorry my question is do you think medication will help me sleep and stay asleep? and secondly is continually taking over the counter sleep pills a problem?
