I think you are on the right track when you suspect the cream. Often the topical yeast preparations cause a dermatitis (skin inflammation) which is actually worse than the yeast infection itself. If you were my patient, I would advise you not to use creams any more. Something that works really well as a topical, when combined with diflucan, is vegetable shortening (like Crisco).
I have my patients apply that externally and it really helps! I got this hint from a yeast specialist at University of Utah. Give it a try.
I think the cuts are from itching and scratching. But, do go in if you are not better soon!
