im soooo happy to hear that everyone is doing so well!! are you ladies ready for the little ones to be sitting on their own?? cohen can sit on his own, but once he realizes im not hanging onto him... he gets a little anxious and topples over! lol he goes for his second set of needles next week, by then he'll be 5 months old. i figure he weighs about 20 lbs! he's a big boy!!
wow a year off with no pay???!!! that would be pretty tough. here in canada we get one year maternity leave, and we get paid 55% of our wage. it feels like that time is going by sooo quickly. pretty soon it will be september and i'll have to go back to work. im dreading it!
My 5month daughter is doing real well. She is rolling from her stomach to her back, just learning to roll from her back to stomach but she fusses when she has to be on stomach, she just hates it. Also she's been grabbing toys and putting them in her mouth, her first word is mmmm.... she giggles, laughs and make noises especially when she's happy. I love my daughter!
Sincerly,
Kendra
I took a year without pay too. We cut our income by 50%!! eek... but we're making it work. It is soooo worth it.
wow! that is great that your babies are rolling over. My son Jebrael still struggles a little but he is so close. He will 5 months next week (Friday the 13th!) He is also a very happy baby, always cooing, laughing, giggling, he does it all!. He weighs a little over 16 lbs, and measures about 25 in. I love him so much, he makes me so happy. I actually went back to work this month for one day and cried so much that I decided to take 1 year off without pay. It's going to be tough financially, but I don't care. I am so in love with him and I know that I will always look back and be glad that I spent as much time with him as possible in his first year. Any of you other moms working?
Well, Adriana is almost 5 months...she also just rolled from back to tummy!!!! How exciting!!!!.. She is 15lbs and change...She is sleeping 12 hours through the night, and has been for like 2 months now. I am loving every minute of her but I swear it is going so fast!!!!!!
My DS is 18 weeks and is just a blast!! He's rolling too, and can do a "push up" but still hates/fusses being on his tummy....Grabs toys with both hands and plays with them (and, of course, EVERY thing goes in his mouth! lol)....and is constantly "talking"!! Coos, squeals, and giggles! Its so entertaining. :) I think he's going to have a LOT to say when he can talk. He loves colorful touch-and-feel books. One of the best things is how excited/happy he gets when me or DH walk into the room. 16 lbs and 26 inches tall... cant believe how fast he's growing!! Still exclusively breastfed, and he still eats every 2 hours and wakes a lot at night, but I am enjoying the time. He'll be all grown up before I know it!
We are anxiously awaiting the belly laugh... and he wants to sit up so bad!!
Everyone else??
