No Beard and Moustache

I think I'm healthy normal guy, but, this problem has put me mentally down I am 27, my moustache and beard doesn't grow well. My friends tease me, Since, moustache & beard are secondary sexual characters of a male, does this mean that I'm not male?? I have no problem in the growth of hair on my head, since childhood, hair on my head grew fast. & I'm very much satisfied about my sexual performance too. But, because of this moustache problem I'm really down. Can you please tell me why is this and is there any treatment for this?

Growth of facial hair depends on a lot of factors. For example, certain ethnic groups naturally have less facial hair than others such as Asian, Native American, etc. It could just be something in your ethnic background.

A better gauge of sexual maturity is pubic hair. If you have reached Tanner Stage P-5 you're a normal adult male. This is characterized by the hair growing from the base of your penis outward toward your thighs and upward toward your belly-button in an inverted "V" shape. If this describes you then you are physically matured and simply have sparse facial hair.
