bleeding after deliver

My baby is almost 13 weeks and i am still bleeding. I was on blood thinners for my entire pregnancy and the frist 6 weeks after i had the baby. Is this normal? its light spotting for the most part but then after sex or just for no reason it gets heavier. what should i do? the first nurse from the doc office said that something would need to be done after 12 weeks but the nurse i just talked to said it wouldn't be a problem until like 15 weeks.

This discussion is related to Bleeding months after having my baby.

I bled for 4 months following my last baby. You just need to watch you don't get anemic because I did.  Apparently the more babies you have the more likely you are to bleed longer!

did you deliver c-section or naturally?  I only bled for like 3 weeks and had a natural delivery. I know gals that delivered c-section and bled for longer but I've never heard of 13 weeks.  I'd call your OB's office and talk to a nurse or something...
