Hello,
Chronic sinusitis is swelling (inflammation) of the air-filled spaces (sinuses) behind the forehead, cheeks, and eyes, which continues for a long time or keeps coming back(>3 months).

Chronic sinusitis can be caused by infections of the upper respiratory tract, allergies and deviated nasal septum .Other suspected causes include mold or fungi in the sinuses.Diagnosis is confirmed by x-rays and CT sinuses.Treatment includes antibiotics(for acute attacks),decongestants, corticosteroids(nasal sprays and oral) and surgery in severe cases.Pls consult an ENT specialist and get it evaluated.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hi,

Paranasal sinuses are cavities in the skull bones whichare connected to the nasal cavities. Inlammation of these sinuses is known as sinusitis. Presence of sinusitis for more than 3 months is classified as chronic sinusitis. A lot of treatment options are available for chronic sinusitis, which your doctor will discuss with you.
