Rash?

Hey I have a question about a week and a half ago I developed some sort of rash on my testicles and it then spread to my penis. I couldn't stop scratching it to the point were i scratched some of my skin off, so now i have some scars on my testicles and penis. It doesn't itch as much as it use to but I was wondering is this normal? How did i get this? What can i do to completely get rid of it. Thanks. And i have only been having sex with one partner during the time this happened.

hey i finally went to see the doctor and she told me it was just irritation due to sweat. I was given clotrimazole USP, 1%. There's times were im afraid to put on the cream because my skin is red and it burns a little after i apply the cream. How long will it take for it to go away if i consistently apply the cream.

Hello,
Avoid messing with it and apply calamine lotion on the area.If there is itching then take some antihistaminics like Claritin. If the symptoms worsen then a dermatologist’s consultation is required.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted.

Hey its me again the itch actually went away not there's just like little bumps which are slowly going away as well. There some redness i think it's because of some skin i had pealed off and just the crust forming over it. Should i still see my doctor and do you advise me to avoid sex for a while?

Hello,

The symptoms are suggestive of Jock itch. Jock itch shows up in post-adolescent men and hormonal changes during puberty, lifestyle and heredity each play a role.Predisposing fungal disease like tines cruris may also aggravate it.

Wash your groin daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying, not rubbing. A hairdryer is useful if you have hairy groins. The damp groin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Also wear cotton underwears and change them twice a day. and do not share other people’s towels.Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment.Pls don’t scratch it as infection may set in.

I hope that helps.Kind regards.
