seman analysis results interpretation

hello my husband has just had a seman analysis done as we are ttc with no luck...  we just phoned for results and were given them, but told only the results not the interpretation of them...

can you help,

count= 44million
absolute (?) =88
motility = 70%
forward progression = POOR
abnormal formation 10%

This is good anything great than 20million is excellent

absolute (?) =88
I dont't know what this is.

motility = 70%
This is good.  This is what percent is moving.

forward progression = POOR
This is not good. This is seeing if they are moving in a straight line.

abnormal formation 10%
I don't know what formation is but I presume it is morphology ie do the sperm look normal in form?
For WHO criteria this normal.
For strict or kruger criteria this is low, it should be greater than 14%.
I think you probably had WHO cirteria and so this is normal.

Overall the forward progression is the greatest concern.
You only  diagnose an abnormality of sperm after performing 2 semen analysis about 70 days apart and not just after 1 semen analysis because men's semen is variable and it take at least 70 days to test a new cohort of sperm.
