Vitrectomy surgery

How long do you have to wait to go over 400 feet.  We live in Pollock Pines CA which is 3300 feet. We are staying with my daughter right now.  Any comments would help.  It has been 9 days since surgery.  My husband is the patient.  He is anxious to go home.  He has been good at keeping his head down and eyedrops.  He is up and walking around now but keeping his eye down.

This discussion is related to macular hole recovery.

He had gas put in the eye on Friday March 27th in the morning.  They told him his macular hole was a very small one. But when we asked when we could go back up the hill he told us just to go slow and if he starts getting a headache or the eye starts getting dark to go back. I personally feel that is taking a chance.  Thanks for your first response.

You need to ask the retina surgeon. It will depend on whether air or gas was put in the eye and how much and how long ago.
