Same Problem

Hi,

I have the same exact problem as this Waxxers and the others.  Red itchy irritation especially at point of circusicision. I have been washing with natural oils and soaps to relieve irritation, but it has not gone away after two days.

I believe this was caused by a soap I used at a hotel.  Otherwise, I have changed nothing in my daily life...

I was wondering if anyone as actually found a solution to this issue!?  Thanks!

I have had a very similar breakout on my penis as described herein, but I never use any lotion - anywhere.  However, my breakout started within hours of having sex with my wife (both of us fully monogamous for last 5+ years) just two days ago and, after reading these related threads herein, she recalled that she had used Neutrogena Hand Cream immediately before the sex.  She always uses lotion, but we couldn't recall using the hand cream just before sex specifically.

Trying to find similarities between Neutrogena and Lubriderm online thus far hasn't turned up anything useful.

I wonder if any out there have similar circumstances?  I'm really anxious to learn if it's just an allergic reaction - which is something then that I can control.

I would be interested if an MD could comment on the thread herein.

I'ver had two separate episodes with the exact syntoms described on the original post. The first one was after masturbating using Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion one night. The next morning my foresking was swollen for days, I ended up going to my doctor who thought it might be yeast infection or jock itch and recoommeded Lotrimin  and Hydrocortizone 1%. Eventually the swelling subsided and everyting got back to normal. This never happened again until a few weeks back when I used Lubriderm again. This time my foresking swelled to horrendous size (looked like an elephant trunk) and it was very itchy. After 2 days applying Lotrimin and Lanacaine for the itching I had to go to the doctor because the ithing was unbearable. I got a different doctor this time who also thouth this was yeast infection and recommeded to continue applying Lotrimin and Hydrocortizone 1% but also added Zyrtec 10% (1 daily) to stop the itching. Itching stoped after taking the first Zyrtec and the sweling got down after 1 day but the skin in m foresking was all flaky and dry and I shed all that skin withing one day to show a smoth surface underneat.

Today I was talking with a friend about how dry my arm skin gets during winter, and she shared the name of her favorite skin mosturizer. I then recalled that the same day I used Lubriderm on my penis, I had also used it on both arms and developed a rash.

I them made the conenction between Lubridern and my swelling because it really felt like an allergic reaction not fungus.

Any MD out there care to investigate this?

Just to let everyone know I used a 1% Hydrocortizone cream and it cleared up within a couple days... You can also use Vaseline to help moisturize.
