I have more pain in my legs then before surgery


Six to nine weeks post op L5 S1 fusion. I have been through nightmare.  I could not move with out the pain doubleing
Then I got the runs. No pain Meds, No doctor, My surgeon seemed to be through doing anything to help me. water boarding sounded like time off for good behavior. Then burning feet I felt better for a day. I twisted to much know its back. Not as bad. I cant' have a MRI Does anybody have stats- info on this bleeding or adhesion give me anything If pain get bad again I am wore out.

There are arguments pro and con the surgery. I had debilitating crushed discs in both the cervical and lumbar region with level ten pain so bad I couldn't move without a walker, refused the surgery, and followed the excellent advice provided by rehabilitation specialists, and after a long period returned to normality.

Get a second opinion from another doctor. Why can't you have MRI? That should have been done before fusion. Your doc sounds like a quac. Anything that relates to your spine should be done by a neurosurgeon. Never use a orthopedic doc....they are good for hips, shoulders etc., but not spines.  Have you asked about going to physical therapy?
