Aaliyah Monique made her grand debut 5-25-09!!!

Hi ladies, just wanted to update you really quickly. I went into labor on the 25th and delivered my precious baby girl that evening. Contractions started at 6 am but I waited it out til about 2 pm. When I arrived at L&D I was 2 cm dilated 70% effaced. My dr came in about an hour and a half later at which time I was 4 cm dilated so he went ahead and ruptured my bag of waters. The rest went by really FAST. Half an hour after having ruptured my water I was at 6 cm dilated and was offered the epidural, which I gladly asked for (no need to lie, I was in pain!) The nurse went off to call for the epidural and I noticed my contractions were back to back soon after, no break inbetween. Once I couldn't take it anymore my sister ran out to call for that nurse and see how long it would be before I got the shot, the nurse came in and decided to check my progress and found that I was complete and ready to go. She still offered a spinal block but I decided we should just start pushing. No epidural, 3 stitches, and ten minutes later my daughter was born. That was the easy part. Unfortunately, as my luck would have it, I wasn't able to pass the placenta and ended up having a d&c to have it removed. Trying to push that thing out caused the worst pain I'd ever felt in my life! But at the end of the day it was all worth it and I would definitely do it again. We're both home and doing well now. She weighed 5lbs 5oz and measured 18 in. A tiny miracle indeed! OMG. I had a feeling that you had your baby because I hadn't seen you online for a few days. Wow, she's a cutie. Glad that you're doing well and that you weren't induced. My sister was fully induced with her 2nd son, she said it was awful, short but horribly painful. She's gorgeous. Congrats!!!

CONGRATS!!!!! Im so happy for you.
Im counting hours now too, I have some contractions, really painful last night but stoped after few hours. I have some brown, yellow discharge, nothing big. She is moving really good, kicking. I just want to go. Im tired and not in the best shape.
