Thanks to you
You are absolutely right about exercise and the nature of food consumption
What about indoor pool when it is cold outside
I use to play soccer but now I have no playmate to go for outdoor soccer
I almost have quit drinking and smocking ( just a glass of wine once in a while )
going montain every weekend including walking during a week .
Thanks again for the reply. Good luck w getting the body in shape, easier said than done, especially when health issues come into play. I find that exercising and stretching in my pool are great cause of the low impact, but that's a seasonal thing, only 4 months a yr. I do love to travel and go to Jamaica once a year. My husband is not a traveller, so I take my 15 yr. old son w me, he loves going. I love going there and talking to the locals and just the beauty of the country. It's a very poor country, but the people are strong, hard -working and proud people. So, I do get to break the monotony, even if it's only once a year.
Dear chippi
Of course you make sense, you sound like a mature person who knows what she wants, you are living based on your believes and your values ( which are not necessarily materialistic ) not on public believe and that is admirable.
I would add to that some changes ( traveling to new places, meeting new people ..etc ) once in a while ( just for a change ).
Monotonousness or tedium ( if i am using the right words ) is something I always try to get off my chess.
One other thing that I am struggling with is to get my body in shape and I know that is too hard when you are 60 but I have some hope to get there.

rahim28, Glad to know you also. I like your take on things, makes sense. I've left so many things behind me that just aren't important in my life anymore and am much happier for it. I live a simple, quiet life, have few freinds but they're great ones, I despise materialism and refuse to buy most things new, thinking it's a waste of money, except of course things like food, underwear and shoes, don't care to wear other's shoes or underwear, ha, ha. Refuse to ever buy a new car cause it's a waste of money, if it runs and gets me from point A to B, I'm happy. Fashion doesn't phase me - got off the fashion train sometime in the 70's. Things don't matter to me, people do. I'm a social misfit and spend most of my time reading or outside enjoying nature and watching the birds, squirrels, chipmunks and bunnies on my property. The only person's acceptance I care about is the person who looks at me in the mirror every morning. Simplify, Simplify, Simplify, it's the key to peace. Well, now that I got all that out, I think I'm about done, lol. Don't know if any of these things make sense to you, they are some of my keys to happiness. Blessings
Hi Dear Chippi
One common for all children ( dif. races, color, origination, wealthiness & etc ) is the fact that they take the pleasure and joy out of almost nothing ( no matter how expensive or cheap their toys are ) and that is the art of living to my believe.
I selected the Cat pic.from my funny pics and I am not from J.f. on T
but I am glad to know you now
I love this, yes, those days were glorious. And we couldn't wait to grow up, silly us. By the way, do I know you from the Jamaica forum on Tripadvisor? The cat picture is kind of unique, that's the only other place I've seen it.
Dear Margy
I actually am parts of the list
sometimes we need to stop running and stay cool to meet ourselves alone
You light up my off lamp
Some of these things you can have again Rahim ...look at the list and try doing them ....its very good way of looking at how we do change ...
