Vitamin C

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is important for tissue growth and repair and may play a role in immunity, too. Its extra-important for pregnant women as it enhances the absorption of iron. Vitamin C also supports the adrenal glands that can become taxed during pregnancy, says Dean. The RDA for pregnant women is 80 to 85 mg; take any more of this water-soluble vitamin and youll just pee it out.
