Today is Thursday and I am still very unwell. Stubborness has kept me from going back to the ER. (That and the fact that my veins are no longer any good and they are now thinking of putting in another central line, or pick line). Neither of which I want again! I won't ever let myself get that bad of course, I have lifeline and I live approx. 5 minutes from both my docs and the hospital. However, unless you are close to death, you will only be treated in the ER for however long, usually 4 - 6 hours for me and IVs and tests etc, and then sent home. Someone please tell me that at least at some point there may be some sort of small remission time??!!!
Since Sunday of this week, I have been in termendous pain in both flanks and kidneys. Nausea is terrible, come Tues. I have been vomiting everything I drink and eat, by Tues. stopped eating. Sweating and chills, (chills are always uncommon to me, I am usually always hot). Wed. morning, I am holding my liquids down right now but barely. I think I will be seeing the Dr. if I can get in, it not, it will be back to the ER for pain med and IV fluids. I have a severe problem with low potassium at the best of times. Even though I have lost about 5 pounds in the past 7 days, I am so bloated I look like I am about 4 months pregnant. (Keep in mind, I am 5'1", usually about 105 - 110 pounds with a 25 inch waist. I have had a complete hysterectomy in 1996, so there is nothing to bloat except for infection and intestinal blockage. I AM NOT HAPPY!
