heartbeat

Had my first OB appointment and was able to hear the heartbeat!! That is one of the most exciting moments when I first learn that I'm pregnant is to be able to hear that its actually there and alive. He thought it was too soon to tell because I'm supposedly 8.5 wks but as it turns out I'm really between 9-10. I have an upcoming ultrasound that will tell exactly about how far long I am. My least favorite thing is the physical (ie pap smear) its the most uncomfortable thing especially when the doctor is a male and has the hand size of Andre the Giant!!

235 days to go!!

I had to work at my DNA job and it was exhausting. Standing on my feet just isn't what it use to be. Now at the end of the day my feet and ankles are swollen and sore. All I can keep thinking is this is only the beginning. I don't remember having this many symptoms this early in neither one of my other pregnancies. Thinking back they were a breeze compared to the trouble I'm already having soo soon with this one. I think its a girl because of all the trouble its giving me. My others are boys and the only trouble they cause is now at 7 & 3 yrs old.

Feelin good

I've had a burst of energy for the past two days and it feels good! I thought the fatigue would last longer throughout my first trimester but I'm soo glad it didn't. I was able to clean I haven't been able to do since being pregnant and had an extended shopping trip today that was really nice. Most of all it just felt good to get out of the house for hours and not feel like I was in dyer need of a noon nap.

Today I woke up with the first thought of I need to see my family. My mom and grandmother as well as 90 yr old great great aunt lives together. I live about 5 hrs south of them and since being pregnant I've wanted to do nothing more than drive there and spend a weekend with em. Their the ones that are my support systems throughout my pregnancies. Okay I'll admit they do spoil me: breakfast in bed foot/back massages shopping spree's for the baby. I think apart of me is just lonesome for that female company where they get and understand the changes I'm going through. This is my bf's first experience with it and I think for any first time Dad he's handling it pretty well but there's just some s**t he doesn't get. We've gotta long journey ahead of us so I hope he's getting mentally prepared.
