Heart palpitations after eating: cured?

Jan 10, 2010 - 0 comments

Heart palpitations

The nasty thumpy-pounding pulse after eating didn't happen after my meal last night or breakfast this morning.

If that's gone away, then I see this as an enormous improvement.

Of course I don't know if it'd still be happening if I wasn't taking the BP meds, but I was experiencing it for a few months and then for another 3 weeks while on beta & calcium channel blockers, so my feeling is that the L-Thyroxine is starting to take effect. I've been on that for 2 weeks and 5 days now.

Now know that I felt particularly awful because of a throat infection (I don't know if it's connected to the thyroid or not, but I don't expect it was).  I've recovered well from that without antibiotics.

The L-Thyroxine seems fine i.e. no side-effects at all. The beta-blockers and calcium-channel-blockers are doing their work nicely, so now it's a waiting game to see if and when the thyroxine will cure my BP and panic problems, along with the other more typical hypo symptoms.

Feeling positive I'm on the right meds :-)
