Well today I had my 10-11 week u/s. Everything looks great and the babies were right on track. It was great to finally get a regular u/s and not a transvaginal. We are so lucky with the technology that they have these days. The bigger Baby had a HB of 167 bpm and was 3.5 cm long. The smaller baby had a HB of 171 bpm and was 3.1 cm long. It still amazes me how much they can grow in one week. Today they finally looked like little babies floating around in my belly. They were very active and I saw them wiggling and dancing around in there. I can already tell they are going to be a couple of show offs :)
I asked the nurse if she thought it would be okay to share the news with friends and family soon within the next few weeks. She said that once we reach the week 12 mark then the chances of anything bad happening would be less than 20%. But she said to do it when we feel we are comfortable. I think thats exactly what we will do.

tomorrow

Not sure whats going on but my preggo symptoms are definitely subsiding. Nausea has gone down dramatically in the last few days and I havent felt as tired as I usually am. I am worried that something might be wrong with my babies :(  I hate that I have had 2 m/c because now all I do is worry sick. In my first pregnancy I never thought twice about anything bad happening and I wish I could get that optimism back. My u/s at the high risk OB is tomorrow and I havent seen my beans in two weeks. I have to admit I am very nervous. Will they see anything? Did my babies disappear? I have no signs of m/c although my first pregnancy I had none either and carried my dead fetus until week 11 (when I had a D&C). I wish I could fast forward to tomorrow at my appt to just see whats up. Good news or bad news im just ready to stop thinking about the possibilities. I know that it cant be good for the lil guys/gals growing inside my belly.

God please grant me the sanity to make it to tomorrows appt before having an anxiety attack. Please make sure my babies are okay. I thank you for the blessing you have given me. Amen

ultrasound

Well today I had a bit of anxiety about going in for ultrasound. All kinds of thoughts were running through my head such as Do we still have two babies in there?, Are we going to recieve bad news today? and ect.
Low and behold everything went great and they are both measuring right on target. By measurements Baby A is 7w4d old with a heartbeat of 145, and Baby B is 6w6d old with a 125 heartbeat. I am so happy that the lil guys/girls are doing well! I LOVE to see the heartbeats and thats always my favorite part of the u/s. My official due date is Feb 8 and the 12th but she thinks I more than likely will have them towards the end of January. That's all of the news that I recieved today besides that I already gained 2 pounds in 1 week. Wow i'm gonna be the size of a whale but I know it will all be worth it.

Doc wants to contact a High Risk facility and find out of we should be concerned at all about one baby being a week behind (but is still growing each week). They said it is nothing to worry about but this is very rare and they want to make sure they are taking appropriate care of me. Did I ever mention how much I love this new office I am going to? Anyways, they want to see if they should be good monitoring me less or if we should keep the weekly appointments. I am kind of liking the weekly appointments but its kind of taking time away from my job and im thinking it wont be much longer until people start to catch on. Thanks so much for all of the prayers as we are all doing good so far. I'm not out of the woods yet but I am feeling very positive about this one.

EGGS

It turns out that even though it is EXTREMELY rare it is possible. The condition is called SUPERFETATION & It occurs when a women ovulates more than one egg, but the eggs are released at different times, sometimes up to 24 days apart. It is ONLY possible in women who have 2 wombs or continue their menstrual cycle while pregnant (hormonal abnormalities). Those that continue their menstrual cycle don't have the hormone signals to create the mucus plug as normal, so sperm can still manage to get through. As I said above the condition is EXTREMELY rare.

Wow how crazy!!! Long story short it looks like I released two eggs during ovulation. Yayyyy Clomid twins!!!
