Back Again

OK, so things kind of fell off the wagon after I started working and found out that my time scheduling needs to be much more different! I had a couple days where I didn't know if I wanted to continue this over the summer or not, but I've decided that I do. It's a good tool to keep me on track, and let's face it: I'm not at my ideal weight yet, and until I get there, I need everything I can to keep me on track. Things were going really well at first; for the first weekend and the majority of the week, I was really eating healthily. However, on Tuesday night I got carried away with ice cream, peanut butter (and LOTS of it), chocolate, and whatnot. I had a minor binge, to be honest. I don't want that to happen again, and I know how gross it made me feel immediately afterwards and all throughout Wednesday. I'm finally starting to get back to feeling normal and good about myself today, but I think if I keep this journal up it'll hold me to more accountability, which hopefully will help me avoid Tuesday night ever again. On the whole though, I am doing super well, and with the exception of Tuesday night, I hadn't had a binge in probably almost a month!

After coming back from tennis and biking, I had lunch, which was a little bit of rice, Mom's tomato/peppers/pork dish, a few fried peanuts, and a little bit of noodle sauce. I also had one of my cookies from last night. Then I finally watched the first Iron Man movie so that I can take my brother to go see the next one.

Just came back from the most useless volunteering position ever at a swim meet. Enough said.

I had a mix of honey nut and regular cheerios with skim milk for breakfast. I just had a few dried cherries too. I'm about to meet up with Surya to play tennis for the first time in a year.....wish me luck!

Whoa OK we have a lot to catch up on!

Friday night was prom night, which was a lot of fun. Afterwards we went to Kishan's uncle's place. I had the usual litany of alcoholic drinks, plus some cookies, fruit, a cupcake, some cream puffs.

This morning I woke up and for breakfast I had three crackers and a banana. Later I went over to Kevin's house where I had oatmeal, yogurt, and an egg. After my run, I had a small bowl of cereal, carrots, and watermelon. I made dinner tonight all by myself! I had shrimp and pasta, along with some absolutely delicious chocolate chip cherry cookies. I felt pretty good about my eating decisions so far this weekend...the one thing that I am kind of disappointed about was just coming back from Zack's, where even though I burned my tongue earlier today (thus I am unable to actually taste anything), I had more than I needed of Nick's peanut butter ice cream sundae. As peanut butter is a highly caloric food, I don't feel great about the choice I made. However, I did do a lot of physical exercise this weekend, so I'm trying not to beat myself up about it. Tomorrow is Sunday and I have nothing too crazy planned so hopefully we'll be back on a more normal eating schedule.
