It's a new year and I've made it past 35 weeks

Jan 02, 2013 - 0 comments

I am still expecting twin boys. I turned 35 weeks on monday, but according to medhelp I turned 35 weeks sunday.

I have not had an major issues. My OB is STILL only seeing me every 2 weeks! I saw her Dec 26 and my next appointment is Jan 9. I started weekly NSTs on Dec 20. I had my last NST yesterday (Jan 1). I am having my next NST right before my OB appointment. I have an ultrasound scheduled for January 10. My BIRTHDAY is @@January [email protected]@!! My OB basically said on Dec 26, that how I will deliver is going to be determined when I have my ultrasound. Both babies were breech Dec 13 and I think they still are. I will most likely be getting a c-section.
From my own calculations, I'll be 36 wks on Jan 7, 37 on Jan 14 and 38 on Dec 21. As of right now, I don't feel like anything is happening anytime soon.
I still have a lot to do. My DH has been working a lot. We need to get christmas decor down. We need to wash the babies clothes, at least the ones we want them coming home in. I need to pack my hospital bag. DH needs to put our oldest girls bunk beds back together. We need to clean up our bedroom for the pack n play/play yard (plan on using the bassinet part while I'm healing). I am going to try and breastfeed, but I know it's going to be a pain with my MIL staying here, but we will need her help and I am thankful she is even coming.
Really I am stressed about going into labor on my own and not having anyone here to watch my kids, because the 2 older ones are in school. My Stepmother has made a big deal about watching her biological grandbaby for the past 6 months (She turns 1 tomorrow). And I am sure she would make some excuse about not being able to come to our house to get the girls off the bus or something. My MIL lives about 6 1/2 hours away, so she would only need to watch them until she was able to get here. I don't know. I have so much stuff to stress about and it's overwhelming.
I can not wait to meet the babies though. It's going to be exciting seeing our girls get to meet them, because really they have just been these things in my tummy. lol.
Can't wait to make it to 36 weeks, but I sure hope I don't go past 38 weeks. Good luck to me, I guess =)

28 weeks 1 day

Nov 13, 2012 - 0 comments

Technically, it's 28 weeks 2 days, since it's past midnight now.
I have not been on Medhelp for months. I have been spending a lot of time on BabyCenter. The Forums there are more active than here and there are less people asking "Am I Pregnant" in the Birth Club Forums.
I had my last OB appt on Nov 12. I had a 1hr sugar test and they drew blood for some other stuff that I didn't even bother asking about. lol. I figure it was an iron check and something else.
I have already had the sugar test in July AND September!! I always fail the 1 hour test and pass the 3 hour. So I have had the 1 hour test 3 times so far. I was expecting them to call me today to tell I failed and to come in for the 3 hour, but they have not. So I will call in the morning to see if I did in fact fail, because I would have to take it thursday, since my husband is off work. He is working next week and I would rather go by myself than worry about my almost 3 yr old while I'm bored and nauseous. I always feel like crap when doing the 3 hour sugar test.
Anyway, It was a pretty routine visit. The nurse checked my weight, blood pressure and had me give a urine sample, the OB checked the babies heart beats. I wasn't sure if she was going to check my cervix or not, but I am going to be seeing her every 2 weeks now. I have seen her with my 3 other pregnancies and my 1st was born on her due date, but the other 2 were born after. So I guess since I haven't had any problems, she figures I am okay.

My Next OB appt is Nov 27 and I will be having another ultrasound. On October 30, the boys were weighing in at 2lbs and 2lb 1oz(I think I was 26wks 1 day). Baby A is breech and Baby B is vertex. On Oct 4 they had been the other way around, Baby A had been vertex and Baby B had been breech(1lb2oz&1lb3oz). There is still a chance they might change position again. Baby B is the one measuring an oz bigger.
I am hoping that I will be able to try to deliver vaginally. My OB didn't mention a c-section at my last appt, but she did at the one before that. I feel that since I have already delivered 3 vaginally, that I should at least get a chance to try that way. If it was my first pregnancy, I think I would feel differently. I have no problem having an emergency c-section, if it's necessary. I'm going to be in an OR anyway, because I've read online that that is where they make people deliver twins... in case they do need a c-section.
We do aready have names picked out, but lie to anyone who asks. lol. My MIL has asked so many times. I do NOT want my kids names sewn into their clothes or anything else. We plan on them sharing their stuff.
I can't really think of anything else right now that I want to add. I know I haven't been on in awhile and just wanted to add what I could off the top of my head.

I added a pic of the gender ultrasound and a pic of me at about 26 weeks 2 days in my photos.
I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week!!

My experience after Mirena removal & ttc

Jun 02, 2012 - 0 comments

I have irregular cycles. I just wanted to add that I got Mirena after my third child. I had it for about 18 months. I got it removed the end of Sept and didn't get a period for 50 days" after" I had stopped bleeding from having Mirena removed. I had 2 more periods and ended up conceiving the beginning of January. It occured to me that I may be ovulating early and it turns out I was. I got a positive on cd10 of that cycle. But I did end up reading that ovulating early isn't good because it doesn't give the egg time to mature. Plus my luteal phase has only been about 10 days. Anyway, I don't know what really happened but I miscarried the first week of March. I was almost 10 weeks but the fetus was only 6 1/2.
My doctor suggested waiting 2 or 3 cycles before ttc again. Also I read online that B6 could help with your luteal phase? I have it in my prenatals and read about it being in cherries so I started drinking Cran-Cherry thinking that might help. I Oed on CD15 and actually got my positive 9dpo. I had some barely there spotting on 13dpo (which may mean my luteal phase was longer since they say implantation spotting happens around your expected period). Although I got a positive before then, which seems strange.
Got my pregnancy confirmed at the 16dpo. My first Beta was about 888 and progesterone was 22 @16dpo.

13 dpo, still have pos hpts

I did have some weird extremely light pinkish spotting discharge this morning. It wasn't a lot and I didn't see it anymore during the day.
Since I have been getting +'s from 9dpo I doubt it's implantation? Probably just pregnancy related.

I had trouble sleeping. I was SO tired this morning. I don't even remember when I took my temps. I just remember having 97.92 and 98.14. I stuck with the lower one but I don't know if I should have even put a temp down.

I am probably going to the doctors on wednesday to confirm the pregnancy for our insurance. My DH actually has some time off this week and if I chose to go next week I would have to drag my youngest with me. When I went earlier this year, before the mc, for the first time visit, the nurse actually got frustrated with us and instead of asking my DH to take her in the waiting room, she ratted on us to the doctor... So my doctor wanted to reschedule me for a different day, because this dumb nurse couldn't ask if we could take her to the waiting room. Which wouldn't of been a problem.
Anyway, I don't want that to happen again. And by going in wed, they could do a beta wed and fri, instead of having to wait until the following week. I don't know.
I just hope things come out right.
My hcg tests have been getting darker. The test line is just about as dark as the other line. My LH test was blazing positive yesterday and today.
