I'm feeling fortunate here! Just had my annual physical and everything looks very good. My cholesterol and triglycerides were really excellent when I had HCV, but they sometimes are kept low by the virus and go up once it is eradicated. Not mine! I'm so happy that I still don't have to worry about that stuff. I also have 100% normal scores on all of my other blood tests - even my platelets have bounced back to normal in spite of my cirrhosis. The only thing my doc could find to caution me about is body weight, and that was only barely an issue. I've gained about 10 pounds over the last year and she said it put me right at the lower edge of where weight can start to affect overall health outcomes. I had already started working on it about a week ago so it wasn't news. What was news is that she considers my weight minus 10 pounds to be nearly perfect for me. I'm thrilled to have perfect seem so attainable! This appt was with my primary physician, not my hepatologist, so I didn't get new PCR results but after getting all those other great blood tests I'm feeling more sure of my SVR being durable. I'll be seeing the hepatologist and getting those tests again around March and I really expect all to be good!
