At this time of my life I am desperate.  I have M.S.(not terrible, many symptoms but managable thru my life). a stent  in my heart (1999 doing well), M.S. induced epilepsy - aura only), fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis that has flared badly in the last 5 to 6 years. Dur ... [More] ing that time I was taking oxcarbazepine and didn't realize that it was washing out my blood sodium  and causing other terrible things to happen to me.  I know many people tolerate  it well but I didn't.

I was doing well before that.  Now I need a right knee and left shoulder replacement.  My left foot is Charcot foot but no diabetes - neuropathy due to M.S.  I have two vertebrae fused to sacrum (7/07) and much pain from that area.  The surgeon left in two damaged vertebrae because he said he could not do them all.  I have a lump on left side of surgical site and my left hip is beginning to hurt.

.I can't sleep long before stiffness and pain wake me up, yet I can only lay on my back because the surgical site hurts when I turn and my hips hurt.  I go from bed to chair to bed at night.  I am in a power chair but can (and do) walk - my back begins to cramp when I walk too long

I have had MRI's of spine and two days ago had a difficult experience with myleogram.  They show deterioration of discs but Neurosurgeon unwlling to operate.  Recommending pain pump.  My left hip and the bump on my back have not been x-rayed.

My husband and I are raising our 11 year old great-granddaughter whom we love dearly and she needs me for a while yet.  My husband is 69 and in fairly good health.  We live on a ranch on our Indian reservation -130 miles from the specialists and large hospitals.

I want to live and I think I can handle surgeries but no one wants to touch me.  I feel I need some second opinions.  I can't just give in to the pain and die.  I have too much to live for.  If anyone has any ideas about how to help me - even to slow down the osteoarthritis I would appreciate it.
