So excited about my recent pedicure

Aug 10, 2009 - 8 comments

I discovered the joy of pedicures later in life as I had more money to spend on myself than when the kids were young.  I have become so accustomed now  to walking in to my favorite nail salon, picking out my color and soaking my feet in the wonderful warm (not hot) sudsy water.

So, what is all this excitement about with a recent pedure?  Well, for the fist time in over a year  I actually got the "tickles" when the girl scrubbed the bottom of my feet with the pumice.  No kidding!!  I was ticklish.  The girl I usually go to to do do my pedicures even noticed that I was ticklish for the first time.

Now, what has brought back this apparent feeling in my feet I ask myself.  Could it be that I'm over 2 months into my use of copaxone?  Hmmm....It's something to think about.  In the meantime I'm thrilled.

How interesting! Wonder if the mylin finally repaired itself and what role the Copaxone played in that scenario. Either way that's great improvement in symptoms. Sounds like good news to me. Congrats on positive steps on the road to recovery from last relapse.

I hope the trend continues!!!

Cool; did you giggle?  :o)   I just got a pedicure last week, and didn't giggle once.  My roommate was in the next chair, and she giggled, which was fun.  She found this cool salon, and plans on taking her mom there, too.  They bring you cold drinks; I love being pampered like that; the massage, exfoliation, and all that good stuff.

So, I'm just tickled for you, lol!

Thanks Ladies.  The color is a mystery. It was supposed to be pink, but it turned out to be more reddish.  Everyone likes it and I'll get used to it :)

Kathy - I love my place too.  Besides being meticulously clean, they serve cold and hot drinks.  I had a cup of jasmine tea.  Gotta love the pampering.

Shell - you are so funny.  If you haven't had one recently then go for it baby!!!

Ren - This was so encouraging that I almost sent my neuro an email to tell him. Decided to save that news for my next visit.

How exciting!  Pampering & feeling in your foot all at the same time - a wonderful day it I say so myself  :)  The place I have gone before has a chair that has the massaging component & heat if you want.  I do love the massage.  They are a training facility so they are a little cheaper than the other places but do just as good of a job.  I think I need a pedicure now  ;)

Janette, if I could find a teaching school that does it I would be in heaven.  I think they do just as good a job if not better than the established salons because they have instructors watching.

J - check your yellow pages phone book for schools - try beauty school, beauty college, massage school - there has to be lots of places up your way doing training.  I'm envious about the pedicure and the feeling !
